“A True Arena Champion” is a Side Quest in Wuthering Waves. Read on to learn how to unlock and complete this quest with our full walkthrough, as well as the list of rewards you'll receive.
Step-by-Step A True Arena Champion Guide
Unlock the Quest
To begin, unlock the unmarked side quest by heading to a small island north of Remnant Residence. Upon arrival, you'll find an NPC named “Exile Commoner” surrounded by TD. Defeat the TD and interact with the NPC. The quest “A True Arena Champion” will be added to your Side Quest list following the dialogue.
Talk to Zeyuan
With the “A True Arena Champion” Side Quest unlocked, head to the marked location to find Zeyuan at the Exile Camp, situated near the Remnant Residence. After his dialogue, talk to the Exile Commoner and Exile Leader inside the camp to assess the situation.
Get an Access Card
Speak to Zeyuan again, and he will give you an Access Card. This access card will serve as your free pass to the Exile Camp. Without it, you will be turned away.
Register for Seaside Arena
It's time to apply for the Seaside Arena. Talk to the Receptionist, who will inform you of a new rule: to weed out incompetent participants, you must collect three badges. To earn these badges, you must undergo three basic trials.
Complete First Trial
The trials are quite easy. The first trial requires you to collect the Sniper Rifle atop a building. Grapple, wall climb, and glide your way to the marked location. Return to the Receptionist and receive your first badge.
Complete Second Trial
The second trial is a shooting challenge. Talk to the receptionist to accept the trial, and then activate the training device found near him. You must use Pistol-type Resonators (Aalto, Chixia, or Mortefi) to finish the trial within the time limit. You will receive a second badge once it is completed successfully.
Complete Third Trial
For the last trial, you are tasked to meet Exile Resonator, the final examiner. Head to the northeast of Remnant Residence and talk to her. Your trial is to defeat the Echo in battle. Once completed and you have received your final badge, head back to the Receptionist and submit the badges.
Enter the Arena
Once ready for the competition, head to the Seaside Arena, which will be marked after talking to the Receptionist. As soon as you step into the Arena, the event will commence. The rule is simple: Defeat all Enemies.
After the match, talk to the Gladiator Champion, who will congratulate you and anticipate an amazing match with you, which is scheduled for the next day. Talk to Exile Resonator afterward, then set the in-game time to (Tomorrow) 12:00 for the final battle. Return to the Arena to start the Champion Challenge.
Phase 1: Defeat Arena Champion
The match has two phases. The first phase is against the Gladiator Champion, and his two Chasm Guardian echoes. Don't let this intimidate you; focus on the Gladiator Champion to end the first phase more quickly.
Phase 2: Defeat Arena Champion
The second phase will begin immediately after the Gladiator Champion's dialogue. He will spawn several Prism Echoes. Focus your attacks on the Prisms to decrease the buffs the Gladiator receives; this should make the duel easier to complete.
With the Gladiator Champion defeated, the Quest will conclude after you talk to Zeyuan, Exile Resonator and Gladiator Champion.
How to Unlock A True Arena Champion
To unlock the “A True Arena Champion,” venture out to the unmarked island north of Remnant Residence. After saving the Exile Commoner from TD on the island, the Side Quest will appear in your Quest List.
A True Arena Champion Rewards
You will receive the following Quest after you have completed the Side Quest:
- x4 Medium Resonance Potion
- x4 Medium Energy Core
- x2 Medium Sealed Tube
- x6,000 Shell Credit
