“A Quest of Wits” is a chain-side quest in Dim Forest, near Wenye Beach. This quest consists of three parts. After completing the first part, you must wait 24 hours in real time before proceeding to the next quest. Step-by-Step A Quest of Wits Guide
Unlock A Quest of Wits
Venturing near the Wenye Bench in the Dim Forest will trigger the Side Quest. A blue mark will appear on your map. To start the quest, you must go underground and find the NPC named Quiz and Quwen. To do so, enter the barricaded Entrance Pit just south of the Resonance Beacon (Huanglong-Dim Forest-Wenye Beach)
Take Quiz 1
Talk to the due and answer the question. If you answer incorrectly, you will be allowed to retake the quiz.
- Question: What is Jinshi's Job Title?
- Answer: Magistrate of Jinzhou
Wait for 24 Hours
After you give the correct answer, you will receive the following rewards:
- x2 Medium Resonance Potion
- x2 Medium Energy Core
- x1 Medium Sealed Tube
- x3,000 Shell Credit
Quiz will then inform you to return tomorrow for the second part. The quest will remain locked until 24 hours in real-time have passed. After waiting 24 real-world hours, the quest will become available in your journal again.
Take Quiz 2
After waiting 24 hours, return to the site and talk to Quiz. This will unlock the second part of the quest line, “A Quest of Wits – II.” Speak with him again, and he will give you the second question.

You will receive the following rewards after providing the correct answer:
- x2 Medium Resonance Potion
- x2 Medium Energy Core

Note: Similar to the first part, you must wait 24 hours in real-time before you can proceed to the third part of the quest line.
Take Quiz 3
After waiting 24 Hours, head back to the site and talk to Quiz to start the final part of the quest line, “A Quest to Wits – III.” Interact again for the third question.

After giving the correct answer, you will receive the following rewards, and the quest, “A Quest of Wits,” concludes:

How to Unlock A Quest of Wits
Completing “Utterance of Marvels: II” and gaining access to Jinzhou City will give you the freedom to reach the Side Quest area.
A Quest of Wits is an unmarked quest and will only appear on your map once you're within the quest vicinity. To trigger the quest, head to Wenye Beach in the Dim Forest. Note that the NPC is located underground.
