Lim Tae-Gyu Best Builds
In this section, you'll find two recommended builds for Lim Tae-Gyu.
The first build shows you the best possible Weapons and Artifacts for Lim Tae-Gyu, while the second offers some great alternatives that are fantastic for beginner players or those who cannot fully replicate his best build.
Best Build
Lim Tae-Gyu is a Dark-element Ranger whose damage output scales from his Attack stat. So, to get the best out of him, focus on his Basic Attack, Core Attack, and Ultimate Skill. Moreover, he has a lot of CRIT potential so you want to build him accordingly. The following sets best suit his main stats.
Best Weapon
| Weapon | Effects |
![]() Intercept | Increases the user's Dark damage by 4%*. When they use a Basic Attack within 10 seconds after using the Quick Attack: Typhoon Fire, it increases their Attack by 6% for 30 seconds (stacking up to 2 times). |
Lim Tae-Gyu's best weapon is his Exclusive Weapon – Intercept – which increases his Dark damage as well as Attack damage. The 6% Attack boost is especially helpful against stubborn enemies and tanky bosses.
Best Artifacts
| Artifacts | Effects |
![]() Solid Foundation | Equip 2 Pieces: Increases the user's Basic Attack damage by 18%. Equip 4 Pieces: Increases the user's Core Attack damage by 18%. When an attack hits, charges the user's Core Attack Gauge by 60. |
Expert | Equip 2 Pieces: When landing a Critical Hit, the user has a 25% chance to increase Attack by 0.8% (stacking up to 100 times) Cooldown: 1 second Equip 4 Pieces: Increases Activation Rate to 50% and Attack Increase effect to 1.6%. |
Both these artifact sets directly boost Lim Tae-Gyu's main stats. Solid Foundation will increase Basic Attack and Core Attack while breaking the Core Attack Gauge. You'll be stacking Core Attack like never before, causing some serious Break damage to your enemies with this set.
The Expert rings, necklace, and earrings further increase the Attack damage of this Ranged DPS breaker.
Alternative Build
For those who can't get their hands on the exclusive weapon and the artifacts mentioned above, here are some alternative options that are easier to get.
Alternative Weapon
| Weapon | Effects |
![]() Steel Bow | The user's Critical Hit damage increases by 9%. |
The Steel Bow is the only other decent alternative for Lim Tae-Gyu. Its Critical Hit damage boost is impressive and it further improves Attack, Defense, and HP when leveled up.
Alternative Artifacts
| Artifacts | Effects |
Destroyer | Equip 2 Pieces: Increases Power Gauge Acquisition Rate by 20%. Equip 4 Pieces: When the battle starts, charges the user's Power Gauge by 50%. Increases the user and their team members' Power Gauge Acquisition Rate by an additional 20%. |
Executioner | Equip 2 Pieces: When attacking enemies with 40% or less HP, increases the user's damage dealt by 8%. Equip 4 Pieces: HP condition changes to 70% and Damage Increase effect increases to 20%. |
Use the Destroyer and Executioner artifacts to speed up Lim Tae-Gyu's attacks and increase his damage output simultaneously. As the enemy's HP decreases, Tae-Gyu's attacks will get more potent.
If you don't have enough pieces of the Destroyer set, the One-hit Kill is another decent alternative. It boosts his Ultimate Skill damage and decreases the cooldown, allowing crazy spam-ability.
