We've all done the airport gate shuffle, hovering by the one working outlet while a laptop battery ticks toward zero and someone else's phone hogs the socket. Jackery's new Explorer 100D wants to end that dance, squeezing 96Wh of LiFePO4 power and up to 158W of output into an 850 g body small enough to live in your carry-on. It's now on sale in Canada on at C$179 (~$128), with a launch discount bringing it down to C$159 (~$114) for a limited time.
What's new

The Explorer 100D sits in the gap between a pocket power bank and a full-size portable power station, and Jackery is pitching it squarely at people who work on the move. It measures 11.6 x 8.3 x 8.5 cm (4.6 x 3.4 x 3.4 inches) and weighs 850 g (1.87 lb), with an integrated soft-touch handle and an optional shoulder strap.
That 96Wh (30,000mAh) capacity matters more than it might look on paper. It keeps the 100D under the 100Wh line airlines use for carry-on batteries, and Jackery says it's suitable for both domestic and international flights.
Why it matters

How many power banks have you binned because they stopped holding a charge? Jackery says the 100D's LiFePO4 cells are rated for at least 3,000 full charge cycles while keeping over 80% of their capacity, with up to eight years of regular use. According to Jackery, that's a 50% longer lifespan than its predecessor, the Explorer 100 Plus.
Safety gets attention too, with Jackery promising multi-layered internal protections and strong high-temperature reliability. It's a theme the company has been leaning into lately, following the new safety system it showed off at IFA.
Key details

Output comes from two USB-C ports rated at up to 140W each, plus a third 18W port for lower-draw gear, with a combined maximum of 158W. Support for AVS, PD, and PPS charging means it should hand phones and laptops the exact power profile they ask for.
Jackery claims it can take an iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro Max, or iPhone 18 Pro to 50% in about 20 minutes, and a DJI Pocket 3 in as little as 10. The company also says it's good for three or more full charges on flagship phones, or more than a full charge on a 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Recharging is flexible, too. Over 100W USB PD, Jackery says it hits 80% in about 1.6 hours and a full charge in just over two, and 100W solar input matches that in direct sun. A 12V car socket gets it to 80% in a little over three hours, while 24V systems in RVs, boats, and commercial vehicles bring a full charge down to roughly two hours.

Takeaway
If you travel for work, hop between coffee shops, or want something that can keep a laptop alive on a long flight, the Explorer 100D looks like a smart buy, especially at C$159, or C$144.99 if you can hold out for Black Friday. On paper, the combination of 140W USB-C, carry-on-friendly capacity, and a battery built to outlast a few generations of phones is hard to argue with.
It's not for everyone, though. There are no AC outlets in the port lineup Jackery lists, so anything that needs a wall plug is out of luck, and campers chasing serious capacity should look further up the Explorer range.
It'll be worth seeing how that 3,000-cycle, eight-year claim holds up in real-world use, and we're still waiting to hear whether the 100D is heading to the US. Either way, it's a power bank that thinks it's a power station, and that's no bad thing.
