Kim Sangshik Best Builds

In this section, you'll find two recommended builds for Kim Sangshik.

The first build shows you the best possible Weapons and Artifacts for Kim Sangshik, while the second offers some great alternatives that are fantastic for beginner players or those who cannot fully replicate his best build.

Best Build

Kim Sangshik is a Wind-type Tank whose damage output scales from user's Defense stats. When gearing him up, his stat priorities should be Defense>HP>Defense Penetration. Following Weapon and Artifact gear-set creates the best Kim Sangshik build.

Best Weapon

WeaponEffects
Someone's Downfall icon - SR Hunter Exclusive Weapon - Solo Leveling: Arise
Someone's Downfall
Increases the user's Core Attack damage by 4%*.
When the user uses a Core Attack, increases the next Basic Skill damage by 4%*.
*Values increase with higher Advancement Levels

Kim Sangshik's best weapon is his Exclusive Weapon – Someone's Downfall – which increases the user's Core Attack damage. Basic Skills are dealing the same amounts of damage as his Core Attack. So, Someone's Downfall provides a much-needed damage boost to an otherwise disappointing Core Attack.

NOTE: SSR Weapons (i.e. Exclusive Weapons) for SR Hunters like Kim Sangshik are currently unavailable in Solo Leveling: Arise, as you cannot get them from any source yet. Consider using Kim Sangshik's Alternative Weapon that's mentioned further below until you're able to get his Exclusive Weapon!

Best Artifacts

ArtifactsEffect
Noble Sacrifice artifacts icon - Solo Leveling: Arise
Noble Sacrifice
Equip 2 Pieces: The user's HP increases by 8%.
Equip 4 Pieces: Decreases the user's Attack by 8% but increases the team member's Attack by 8%.
Outstanding Connection artifact icon - Solo Leveling: Arise
Outstanding Connection
Equip 2 Pieces: When tagging out, increases the user and their team member's Attack by 12% for 10 seconds. (Cooldown: 20 seconds)
Equip 4 Pieces: Increases Attack Increase effect to 28% and duration to 15 seconds.

Kim Sanghsik isn't the tankiest Hunters and neither can he deal high amounts of damage. That's why it's best to use him as a support unit. Both artifact sets mentioned above increase the overall attacking stats of the whole team with little to no direct effect on Kim.

Alternative Build

For those who can't get their hands on the exclusive weapon and the artifacts mentioned above, here are some alternative options that are easier to get.

Alternative Weapon

WeaponEffect
Steel Longsword icon - Solo Leveling: Arise
Steel Longsword
Elemental weakness damage increases by 4.5%*.
*Values increase with higher Advancement Levels

There aren't many suitable weapons for Kim Sangshik. You can equip him with any SR Steel weapon. I suggest the Longsword in hopes to increase his elemental damage output. But the Dagger or the Axe will work just fine as well.

If you want to go the other route and increase his tanky-ness, the Shield suits him well too.

Alternative Artifacts

ArtifactsEffect
Solid Analysis artifact - Solo Leveling ARISE
Solid Analysis
Equip 2 Pieces: The user's damage dealt to enemies in the [Break] state increases by 15%.
Equip 4 Pieces: When attacking enemies that have elemental weakness, the [Break] effect increase by 30%.
Solo Leveling: Arise - Artifact Set - Executioner
Executioner
Equip 2 Pieces: When attacking enemies with 40% or less HP, increases the user's damage dealt by 8%.
Equip 4 Pieces: HP condition changes to 70% and Damage Increase effect increases to 20%.

Solid Analysis increases the damage dealt during Break and further scale off of elemental weakness. Almost every skill can cause Break and the Steel Longsword doubles down on elemental damage. So, Solid Analysis is the perfect artifact when building Kim as a damage dealer.

As for the accesories, it's just a matter of further boosting the damage output. Considering Kim is a Tank, it's best to use Executioner and increase his damage output by decreasing enemy's HP.
