Pistols#26 might just be the only Wuthering Waves weapon scaling off of damage taken and damage avoided. If you gunner takes no damage, it boosts their ATK. If you gunner takes damage, it still boosts the ATK but also restores a bit of HP.

Similar to all other weapons' tuning, Pistols#26's skill effect is improved with each rank-up. You can get as much as 12% ATK increase and up to 10% HP restoration buff by maxing out Pistols#26.
Whether you should spend all the resources needed to craft the weapon and its duplicates is the big question. Because these buffs are mid-tier and you'll need to dump Pistols#26 as soon as you get higher rarity Pistols or even a stronger 4-star Pistol like Undying Flame.
