The Beginner's Choice Convene has five 5-star Resonators, and you can pick any one that you like. You will get this convene after opening 80 convenes. The best resonator out of the 5 is definitely Calcharo, but he has got some competition.
The other resonators, by no means, are bad. All five of them are great, but some of Calcharo's stats and skills give him an advantage. I'll be discussing him below, along with the other Resonator options.

Calcharo is hands down the best Electro DPS and single-target DPS in the game. His ability to quickly kills enemies is second to none considering you land the shots.
Controlling Calcharo isn't difficult either and everyone can get something out of him. His stats, skills, and overall performance against the enemies is sublime. You can use him against the weekly and world bosses along with resonators like Verina and Encore to make a great team.
His ATK, DEF, skills, will keep on improving as you upgrade him and his weapon. Moreover, make sure to equip powerful echoes with him to make him even powerful.
Other Resonators in Beginner's Choice Convene
Let's see how the other four Resonators will help you progress if chosen in the Beginner's Choice Convene.
Encore
Encore is possibly the second best DPS in the game after Calcharo as of now. She has almost the same damage output as him and can take on multiple enemies with ease. On top of that, she has great skills and works with the echoes pretty well.
If you don't prefer Calcharo, Encore is the second best choice from an attacking resonator perspective.
Verina
Verina is by far the best healer in the game. She can heal all other Resonators no matter who is in the team. Furthermore, she even provides ATK% and DMG% buffs. You might find her struggling in some of the fights, but she makes up for it by healing her allies and helping them finish off the enemies.
Besides, Verina will be more than helpful when you go in the end-game phase. So, in short, she is one of those that will be really useful in the long-term.
Jianxin
Jianxin is a great defender Resonator which can grant shields to her allies. Moreover, she can divert some of the enemy attacks and launch her own counterattack immediately. Although her damage isn't the best in the game, she is more than handy considering her defending abilities.
Lingyang
Lingyang is another offensive DPS who focuses on dealing glacio damage. He can constantly use his resonance skills and can engage in both ground and aerial combat.
However, his HP and DEF is a bit low compared to some of the other 5-star resonators, which is the reason why many people don't prefer him over the likes of Calcharo and Encore in Wuthering Waves.
