How to Unlock
Unlock the Special Event: Depths of Illusive Realm when you reach Union Level 17. For tips on quickly leveling up, check out our comprehensive guide, “How to Farm Union EXP Fast.“ At Union Level 17, head to the Whining Aix's Mire at the marked location on the map shown above.
Event Duration
The event starts on May 23, 2024, and will conclude on June 26, 2024.
Event Rules
- During the event, you can only participate in Depths of Illusive Realm with the available Resonators.
- Resonators cannot use their currently equipped Echoes, but there are various Illusive Echoes, Metaphors, and other unique buffs waiting for you to explore.
- Explore different team comps with various Illusive Echoes and buff for diverse combat experiences.
How to Play Depths of Illusive Realm
Each season of “Illusive Realm” offers different Resonator choices for the challenge. During battles, you will gain various buffs to enhance your powers against enemies and overcome challenges. Conquer different difficulty levels to earn rewards!
Select Resonator
Once you enter the Illusive Realm, you will be prompted to select a Resonator for the challenge. You can choose a Trial Character or a Resonator from your own roster that is playable for the stage. Here are the following Trial and Playable Resonators for each Stage:

Select Echo, Metaphors and Upgrades
There will be NPCs waiting for you once you enter the Illusive Realm. Interact with them to be given an option to pick an Echo, Metaphor, and buffs for your selected Resonator.

What is a Metaphor?
Each time you clear Memory Zone, you get to select randomized Metaphors. These Metaphors provide upgrades that apply buffs or enhancements to your Echo or Resonator.
Clear Memory Zone
In each stage, the play loop of the Special Event involves conquering rooms called Memory Zones. These rooms feature various TD variants to eliminate. Upon successfully clearing a room, you will receive Dream Fragments and proceed to the next zone. Use upgrades wisely to strengthen your Echo and Resonator for the final boss battle at the end of each stage.
What is Dream Fragments?
Dream Fragments are an indispensable currency during your exploration of the Illusive Realm. This currency allows you to purchase various items from the Transaction NPC, such as Metaphors and healing items. It will be reset when the Depths of Illusive Realm is challenged again.
Memory Zone Doors
After clearing the enemies, memory doors will appear alongside an NPC who will provide you with Metaphor options. Each door is unique and will lead you to the following Rewards:

Defeat the Final Boss
In the final room, your goal is to defeat the boss within the time limit. Defeating Illusive Realm bosses should be a breeze with the right upgrades and Metaphors. Successfully clearing the stage will earn you rewards.
Upgrade Permanent Buff
You can invest in upgrades in Thought Evolution using Memory Points outside of the stages. Memory Points are obtained after defeating the final boss. Unlike Metaphors, which reset each time you challenge a stage, the skills unlocked from Thought Evolution are permanent.

Clearing each stage will grant you rewards. There are two types of rewards: ‘First Clear,' which you receive after clearing the stage for the first time, and ‘Repeatable,' which are permanent rewards you can farm.
