Good news if you’re upgrading from the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Your old case probably still fits. Samsung kept the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra at 326.3 x 208.5 x 5.1 millimeters, and most case makers now list both tablets on the same product page.
However, the shared size means the shortcomings carry over too. A 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel covers most of a 692-gram slab that’s only 5.1 millimeters thick, which is thinner than the smaller S12+. The aluminum body and IP68 rating protect it from water and dust. Corners and screen edges are also exposed, and a tablet this size is awkward to hold up without a stand.
If you’re buying new, Spigen, JETech, and a handful of rugged-case brands already have it covered. Yet, I picked seven, from feather-light folios to full-body armor with shoulder straps, for variety's sake.

Make a bold statement on your tablet
Remember that a case adds weight to an already large tablet, so choose your new case based on your use patterns and daily behaviours. If the Ultra mostly stays on a desk, a rugged shell like the Gerutek or SEYMAC is worth the bulk, and the shoulder strap helps when you move rooms.
Next, look for a built-in screen protector. The Gerutek and SEYMAC include one, so you can skip buying glass separately. If you’re reusing an S11 Ultra case, compare the model numbers on the listing with the ones in your tablet’s settings before you assume it fits.
