Tower of Adversity is the end game in Wuthering Waves, and all your efforts will be spent completing its stages later on as you progress.

There are three zones here and each one has different towers. These towers have multiple stages with waves of enemies that you have to eliminate within a certain time limit. If you fail, the stage will have to be completed again; otherwise, you won’t move on to the next one.

Moreover, every Zone has some buffs that are applied to your resonators to give them an advantage.

Below, we’ll be discussing this in detail, and you’ll know everything about this game mode in WuWa.

How to Unlock

Reach Union Level 15

Tower of Adversity is unlocked after you reach Union Level 15 while completing the quest: Alone in the Abyss.

All Zones in Tower of Adversity

1. Stable Zone

This is the easiest one with only one tower, namely the Resonant Tower, which has 4 stages.

Thanks to the Rumbling Hollows event, you can get the 4-star Resonator (Yuanwu) after clearing the Stable Zone.

2. Experimental Zone

This zone has two towers:

  • Resonant Tower
  • Echoing Tower

This zone will be unlocked after clearing the first one. This one has two towers with 4 stages each.

3. Hazard Zone

This is the final zone that is unlocked after completing the Experimental Zone.

The Hazard Zone has the following three towers:

  • Resonant Tower
  • Tower of Hazard
  • Echoing Tower

The hazard zone is the hardest of them all and contains the strongest enemies. Your Resonators should be as strong as possible to win here.

Moreover, the enemies in this zone change regularly, so you can compete here again and collect the rewards again.

Select the zone, tower, and stage before clicking Start Challenge. You can’t select higher levels until you have completed the previous ones.

Step 3: Select your Heroes

The heroes consume Vigor. Easier levels will consume less, while harder ones will consume more. Therefore, make sure to save your best Resonators for the later stages.

Tower of Adversity is all about strategy and team management.

In case the Vigor of a hero runs out, you can recover it by resetting any stage. However, you’ll lose the stars you earned on that particular stage.

Moreover, the Vigor for each zone is separate. You won’t have to worry about saving your heroes until the Hazard Zone. The Vigors here won’t be affected even if the Vigor runs out in previous zones.

Step 4: Defeat All Enemies

Go to the middle and select Start Challenge. Once the battle begins, you will have to defeat the enemies in a certain amount of time to clear the stage.

Best Team Compositions

The best team compositions can vary depending on the type of player you are. However, generally you'd want a DPS, a hybrid support, and a full-fledged healer in your team. Moreover, you can even go with 2 DPS characters sometimes.

Make sure to not use your main team up front if you want to save those characters to fight the main bosses as the levels get harder. Moreover, make sure there level is at least 40-60 to have a chance at winning against high tier enemies.
