The smart glasses space is moving fast, and one of the more credible players in the AR wearables market just planted its flag in Europe.
Rokid, the Chinese AR and AI company founded in 2014, has officially launched in Germany with a dedicated e-commerce store and a Munich launch event last week. The company launched two products: the Rokid Glasses and the Rokid Ai Glasses NEO.
Two Devices, Two Different Use Cases

The Rokid Glasses are the flagship of the two. They feature a dual-eye AR display, real-time translation and transcription, and a multi-LLM AI assistant that works with both GPT and Gemini. The idea is that you can pull up information, communicate across languages, and manage tasks without having to touch your phone.
All of that runs on a Qualcomm AR1 platform inside a 49g frame, which is light enough that you might actually wear them for more than ten minutes at a time. That weight matters more than most specs on a glasses product.
The NEO: No Display, No Problem

The Rokid Ai Glasses NEO takes a different approach. There's no AR display here — this is a voice-first device aimed at everyday use.
It supports 12 languages for voice interaction and translation across 89 languages, which makes it a genuinely useful companion for travel, accessibility scenarios, and on-the-go productivity. It's the more accessible entry point into the Rokid ecosystem, and at €449, it's priced accordingly.
The Open AI Ecosystem

The bigger pitch from Rokid isn't really about the hardware — it's about the software approach. The company claims to be the first smart glasses brand running an open AI ecosystem that supports multiple large language models simultaneously, without locking users into a single platform.
That's a meaningful differentiator if it works as advertised. Most wearable AI devices are tethered to a single AI backend, limiting flexibility as the AI landscape continues to shift beneath everyone's feet.
Launch Pricing and Where to Buy
The Rokid Glasses are priced at €699, while the Rokid Ai Glasses NEO with the Capsule Battery costs €449. Both are available from the official Rokid store and Amazon.
Rokid is running a limited-time promotion through May to ease the launch. From May 4 to May 12, the Rokid Glasses drop to €569 and include a complimentary Power Capsule. From May 13 to May 31, they rise slightly to €589 with a magnetic charging cable included. Standard pricing of €699 resumes on June 1.
US pricing hasn't been confirmed yet.
