AFK Journey has over forty heroes, each with unique abilities and potential. However, amongst them are heroes who rise above the rest, the must-haves, and what we consider meta. These heroes can only be obtained by rolling, leaving the possibility to the RNG.
Rerolling is a reliable method of obtaining the characters you want, especially when those high-tiered heroes can be challenging to get solely by sheer luck. Fortunately, rerolling is easy in AFK Journey, mainly if you're using an Emulator rather than a PC or mobile phone.
Before we proceed with the reroll guide, please be advised that creating too many accounts using an emulator might result in account bans.
How to Reroll in Phone or PC Client
E-mail Method
There are two methods for rerolling. The first one involves using different Emails, logging in using them, and then going through the reroll process. If you're unhappy with your pull, log off from the game and create a new account using the next Email. Repeat the process until you get your desired Heroes.
Character Switch Method
This is the most straightforward approach if you don't have extra E-mail. While in the game using your existing account, head to Settings, then under the ‘Other' tab, tap on Character Switch.
Select a new server in the list and tap ‘Create New Character.' This will restart the game with the new character after confirmation. With the new character, you start a new gameplay with a new opportunity to pull for your favorite heroes. Repeat the process until you obtain your desired character.
How to Reroll in Emulator
Emulators are the preferred method of rerolling in AFK Journey, provided you have a decent PC that can handle multiple emulator instances that run the game simultaneously. I use LDPlayer for this guide, but other known emulators, such as BlueStacks and NoxPlayer, also work perfectly.
With Instances running the game simultaneously, you can reroll using four to five (or as many as your PC can handle) accounts in one go.
Install AFK Journey
After installing the Emulator of your choice, run the Multi-Instance Launcher and create a new instance where you will install the AFK Journey. You can get the game from the store or download an APK using your browser. Drag the APK onto your emulator instance's window to install the game.
Clone the Current Instance
After installing the AFK Journey, clone the first instance you created in the Multi-Instance Manager by pressing the three dots to bring out the menu, then choose Copy/Clone. Make as many instances as your PC can handle.
Run the Instances and Reroll
With the multi-instances ready, you can run the game, log in as a guest, and progress until you unlock the recruit feature. Skipping through the conversation and cutscenes decreases the duration of the process.
Keep in mind that in-game names are unique in AFK Journey. You won't be able to use these names on the same server even after clearing the cache. So use random/dummy names and change to your preferred name once you're satisfied with the account.
Clear AFK Journey Cache
Not happy with your rolls? Close the game, then access your AFK Journey App Info by pressing hold on the game icon and selecting App Info. With a new window open, choose the ‘Storage.' Finally, click on ‘Clear Cache.'
Clearing Cache removes your account information from the game, granting you a fresh account once you start the AFK Journey again.
Bind your Account
Satisfied with your rolls? Don't forget to bind your account to avoid losing your progress! Head to the settings by clicking on the ‘Cog Wheel' icon in the Menu list, then click ‘Others' then choose Account. You will be given the option to bind your game account using an E-mail or Google.
Reroll Targets
Thoran
Since AFK Journey will provide you with Cecia, an impressive Damage Dealer, you would want a Tank on your team. Aim for Thoran. He's an S-level tank from the same faction as Cecia, Graveborn. Thoran can cheat death and come back to life once, so even if you lack potent healers in the early part of the game, your team will survive thanks to his kit.
Hewynn
If you're looking for Support, consider Hewynn. She has strong healing skills that span a global range—healing everyone in her party with an impressive healing value. She remains unreplaceable in the late game.
