The Wish List feature in AFK Journey allows you to select specific heroes from the Lightbearer, Wilder, Graveborn, and Mauker factions that you want to get from Recruitment Banners.

Best Wish List Settings in AFK Journey
You unlock the Wish List feature after your first 30 hero recruitments, and it will allow you to select 2 S-Level Heroes and 2 A-Level Heroes per faction (16 Heroes in total) that you want to obtain exclusively.
The heroes you didn’t select on your Wish List will then be removed from the pool of heroes you can potentially get from the Recruitment Banners, guaranteeing that you’ll only get the heroes you want.
Technically, you can set two Wish Lists in AFK Journey—one for the All Hero Recruitment banner and another one for the Epic Recruitment banner.
Best Wish List Setting (All Hero Recruitment)
Taking into account the best heroes in AFK Journey, here is the best Wish List setting that you should consider using as a reference in the All Hero Recruitment Wish List:

The Elite Heroes you've set in the All Hero Recruitment Wish List will also be featured in the Rate Up Recruitment and Epic Recruitment banners, but not the Epic Heroes you've set.
For S-Level Rate Up Recruitment banners, you may only receive A-Level Heroes that you set in your Wish List, as the featured S-Level hero will be the guaranteed pull whenever you get an Epic Hero in this banner.
A-Level Rate Up Recruitment banners, on the other hand, will give you eight duplicates if you manage to pull the featured A-Level Hero's Epic copy.
Best Wish List Setting (Epic Recruitment)
For the Epic Recruitment, here’s the best Wish List setting that you should consider using as a reference:
The Epic Recruitment's Wish List setting shown in the image above includes top-tier units that perform exceedingly well in most game modes, but feel free to replace them depending on who you think would benefit your account the most.
If you select an A-Level Hero in your Epic Recruitment Wish List and get an Epic copy of it, you get five duplicates instead of just one compared to when you select an S-Level Hero.
TIP: Epic Invite Letters are quite rare, so when setting heroes in your Epic Recruitment Wish List, we advise that you carefully plan the five heroes you want to make your “main heroes” and invest your Acorns heavily in first, especially if you're a beginner!
Must-Have S-Level Heroes per Faction (Wish List)
Listed below is one S-Level Hero from each faction that you should consider putting on your Wish List above all other heroes in the same faction. Each of them can be considered top-tier “meta” heroes:
