How To Get All Artifact Shards In AFK Journey
As you can see from the image above, you can claim Artifact Shards from the Growth Trials page after completing certain requirements.
Artifact Shards are materials used for upgrading your Artifacts (a.k.a. Spells), along with Gold.
Below are the requirements you need to accomplish so you can farm each type of Artifact Shard in AFK Journey.
How To Get Awakening Shards
To get Awakening Shards, you need to play through the story and clear Main Quests:
You can accomplish this by clearing Miasma Bosses, discovering new areas, and just progressing through the main plot and meeting new characters in the story.
TIP: Main Quests are often locked behind your progress in the AFK Stages, so try clearing them as often as you can!
How To Get Enlightened Shards
To get Enlightened Shards, you need to clear AFK Stages:
You get to claim at least one Enlightened Shard for every 100 AFK Stages cleared, but there’s no specific interval you receive them.
The Enlightening Spell may not be that good compared to most spells in the game, but it’s among the easiest ones to level up. Also, it remains one of the few counters to the Confinement Spell in PVP battle modes!
How To Get Starshard Shards
To get Starshard Shards, you need to defeat Dream Realm bosses:
You get Starshard Shards after you beat a Dream Realm boss of different difficulty levels a set amount of times.
Remember to check the recommended heroes for each boss so you can defeat these bosses more easily!
How To Get Ironwall Shards
To get Ironwall Shards, you need to team up with other players and defeat Corrupt Creatures:
You can find and fight Corrupt Creatures by either exploring the world or joining other players' encounters and helping them.
You cannot fight Corrupt Creatures alone and need at least one other player before starting the battle.
TIP: We recommend checking the “Team Up” chat to help players fight Corrupt Creatures they find. This will not only allow you to get Ironwall shards faster but also earn first-clear rewards and Pal-Coins.
How To Get Confining Shards
To get Confining Shards, you need to achieve higher tiers in the Arena:
Aside from getting Confinement Shards in AFK Journey, you can also get valuable resources such as Gold, Arena Coins, and Diamonds by ranking up in the Arena.
TIP: You can buy one free Arena attempt per day, giving you a total of five free attempts per day. We highly advise that you use all these up, especially if you’re a beginner who’ll most likely have plenty of weaker opponents to choose from.
How To Get Blazing Shards
To get Blazing Shards, you need to clear floors in the Legend Trial:
The Blazing Spell is arguably the most “niche” spell in the game and is only effective in very few situations (if at all), but it’s still a useful spell to have around if you need extra damage in certain battles.
All you need is to clear increasingly higher Legend Trial floors with any faction to get Blazing Shards, so just remember to focus on clearing floors with the strongest faction you have and you’ll be able to farm these shards easily!
