First Resonance (Main Quest) – Wuthering Waves

Enter Jinzhou City.

Once you have completed Utterance of Marvels: II, the First Resonance Quest will automatically commence after you enter Jinzhou City.

Activate the Resonance Nexus.

The tall beacon in the center of the city is called Resonance Nexus. You will obtain certain map data once you activate it. Besides revealing sections of the map, it also serves as a rally point and recovery hub for your downed or injured resonator. Be sure to activate them as you explore the world.

Take the Elevator.

With the Nexus activated, it's time to meet the Magistrate of Jinzhou. Take the long flight of stairs across the road, southeast of Jinzhou, and enter the Elevator.

Meet with Yangyang.

Once you reach the upper floor, you will notice a commotion outside the City Hall. Approach Yangyang to discuss the matter and find out what’s going on.

Enter the City Hall.

After a conversation with Yangyang and Chixia, enter the City Hall to meet the Magistrate, as they have been expecting your arrival. A Receptionist will guide you inside.

Meet Sanhua.

Instead of the Magistrate, her bodyguard, Sanhua, welcomed you on her behalf. The magistrate is away for an important matter, but she left you tokens and a welcome gift.

Receive the Token & Gift.

The Magistrate left you some tokens and gifts: Black Fruit, Leaf, Small Device, and Sugar Pearl to explore and discover what they represent. It holds the answer you're looking for.

Leave the City Hall.

After speaking with Sanhua, exit the City Hall and converse with Yangyang and Chixia outside, informing them of your findings.

Ask the Kids.

After going through the possibly hidden message of the tokens given to you, Yangyang and Chixia suggested Baizhi might know something. Before heading out to find her in Huaxu Academy, talk to the children and ask their thoughts about the candy.

Unlock Utilities.

Head to the next mark on the catwalk to unlock the Utility Function. This feature includes Grapple, Sensor I, Sensor II, and Levitator.

Use Grapple to reach Huaxu Academy.

Grapple Module helps you overcome complex terrain. To use, look for a Grapple Point, then press / (+) for Utility once the key appears. 

Enter the Academy.

Following the Grapple Point will lead you to your next destination. Once you land, enter the Huaxu Academy after Chixia leaves for work.

Talk to Mortefi.

You couldn’t find Baizhi anywhere inside the Academy. Talk to Mortefi, a member of the Department of Safety, and ask him where she might be.

Ask Baizhi.

During the dialogue, you will ask Baizhi and Mortefi to run some on test the tokens given to you in hopes of finding some answers.

Talk to Baizhi again for the Test.

The result will take a while. Talk to Baizhi to start the test while waiting, and then you will be transported to the Simulation Training.

Start Simulation Training.

Head to the center of the Simulation Training room to start the test. There will be a total of three rounds of monsters to dispose of.

Leave the Simulation Training.

After you have defeated all the enemies, a portal will appear. Approach it to Exit the Simulated Training room.

Continue Forward.

For some reason, you couldn't exit the Simulated Training. Continue going forward until a cutscene starts.

Unlock Convene.

After the cutscene, you wake up from the Simulated Training. Baizhi will explain to you what possibly happened. After the dialogue, the Convene Feature will be unlocked. You will receive Baizhi for your first pull.

Talk to Mortefi.

After talking to Baizhi, interact with Mortefi for some updates about the token. After the dialogue, talk to Mortefi again.

Find the Parts.

Mortefi asked you to find the parts in Xiangli Yao's workshop. It's found on the table next to the door. Once obtained, deliver it to Mortefi. A cutscene will commence.

Look for Clues.

Interact with the computer near you to investigate where the document is. Then, head to the archive room to look for clues.

Talk to Yangyang and Leave the Academy.

Interact with Yangyang, and she will discuss the Sugar Pearl with you. After the dialogue, leave the Academy building.

First Resonance Quest Complete.

Once you exit the building, Chixia will greet you. After the dialogue, you will enter another cutscene, and the main quest, “First Resonance,” will conclude. You will then receive your rewards.
