The Xiaomi 14 series is the latest flagship collection from the Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). It makes sense for them to launch it with their newest software. In November 2023, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro phones came out of the box with HyperOS, which is based on Android 14 and brings a smoother UI experience than MIUI. However, they were limited to the brand's home market.
Following them was the 14 Ultra model in February 2024, which Xiaomi launched globally along with the base 14 phones at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona (MWC2024). HyperOS will soon roll out to your phone or tablet if you're eligible, and we’ve compiled a list of devices that will receive it.
Comprehensive list of Xiaomi phones and tablets to receive HyperOS
If you bought phones from the Xiaomi 14 series, the Pad 6S Pro, Watch S3, and the Smart Band 8 Pro, you already have HyperOS as it's preinstalled. Older devices need to wait for the update to roll out worldwide. Luckily, Xiaomi has given us a glimpse of its roadmap, so it may be closer than you think.
The company uploaded an updated release plan on its X account, showing which phones will receive the new software in the first half (H1) of 2024. The Xiaomi 13, 13T, and 12T phone series will get it from January to June. The Pad 6, among other tablets, along with select Redmi phones and wearables, are also eligible. Poco phones are missing from the list but may pop up in the H2 2024 version in the coming months.

Keep an eye out for the HyperOS update

Xiaomi's HyperOS update isn't far away. Although the company hasn't announced all the eligible devices, many will miss out. If your phone, tablet, or smartwatch doesn't appear on the H2 2024 list, you're stuck with MIUI OS until you upgrade your device. While you’ll miss out on new features and functionalities, MIUI will still receive security patches for some time.
You can monitor the HyperOS release schedule through official sources like Xiaomi's website and social media accounts. Typically, you should see an update notification when it's available for your device. But if you don't see it, visit the About phone section of the settings menu, where you'll see options for performing a system update.
