Xiaomi's budget smartphone brand, Poco, has confirmed that its new F5 and F5 Pro handsets will be officially unveiled on May 9th via a live-streamed event. While details on the new phones are scarce, it is known that the vanilla F5 will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset.
As you can see from the image above, the regular Poco F5 sports a trio of rear cameras with a dual LED flash. It's thought that the F5 could be a rebadged Redmi Note 12 Turbo and that the F5 Pro is based on the Redmi K60 which means it may be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Poco has also revealed that the F5 Pro will feature a WQHD+ display which is also likely to be AMOLED with a 120Hz display and, according to one leaker, may come with wireless charging.
No details on pricing or availability are available as yet but we expect the Poco F5 series to launch globally. We'll find out more during the launch event on May 9th which will be live-streamed via Poco's YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook channels and on its official website.
