Fans of LEGO and building bricks will be happy to learn that the Bricktales brick-building adventure game has hit the Play Store (and iOS). Unlike many of today's games that are free to play but with in-app purchases lurking around every corner, LEGO Bricktales is available on Android and iOS for an upfront of $4.99/£4.99/€5.59. It's good news for parents all around.
What is LEGO Bricktales?
The game takes you across 5 brick-themed biodomes in the deepest jungles, the most sun-drenched deserts, the busiest street corners, a towering medieval castle, and the paradise of tropic Caribbean islands. You'll need to solve a bunch of physics-based puzzles such as building cranes and gyrocopters as well as building items such as market stalls and music boxes.
Each location has LEGO minifigures that require your help, and while exploring the colorful locations, you'll discover a variety of construction spots with their own set of bricks which you'll need to figure out how to use. You may need to build a bridge or a king's throne.
“Everyone loves LEGO Bricks, and we are no exception, so we couldn’t be happier to get the chance to work on a LEGO videogame,” said Tri Do Dinh, Game Designer at Clockstone. “We hope you enjoy this first look at LEGO Bricktales and will have a great time diving into the game’s story, sandbox mode, unlockable abilities and much more!”
