How to Get Weapon Designs in Solo Leveling: Arise

Weapon Designs are used for limit-breaking Player Weapons and Hunter Weapons alongside Gold and Melding Cubes, increasing their max level.
There are two types of Weapon Designs—Design and Precision Design. Here's how much you need to Limit Break a Weapon to new max levels:
| Weapon Design Types | Amount Required per Limit Break |
|---|---|
![]() Design | x2 (Level 20 > Level 40) x6 (Level 40 > Level 60) |
![]() Precision Design | x1 (Level 60 > Level 80) x3 (Level 80 > Level 100) |
As you can see above, you need 8 Designs and 4 Precision Designs in total to Limit Break a Weapon straight to Level 100. Spend them only on your best weapons!
Listed below are all the sources you can get Weapon Designs from in Solo Leveling: Arise.
Enter Dungeon Breaks

Clearing a Dungeon Break is a great way to earn a few Weapon Designs and Melding Cubes per day, which most definitely adds up over time if you're consistent with it.
Always use the Rescan feature so you can avoid clearing too many Normal Gates (i.e. Blue Gates), as you won't be able to get Weapon Designs from them.
TIP: Remember to clear at least 10 Gates per day. This way, you'll be able to get all the Player EXP from the Gate Rewards, level up faster, and farm more items!
Check the Exchange Shop
You can purchase Weapon Designs from two Exchange Shops in the game:
- Weapon Materials Exchange
- Mana Crystal Exchange

In the Weapon Materials Exchange, you can buy up to 10 Designs for 900 Traces of Dimensions each and 5 Precision Designs for 150 Mana Power Imbued Castings each. The stock is refreshed every week.

In the Mana Crystal Exchange, however, you can only buy up to 1 Design for 50 Low-Tier Mana Crystals each. The stock is refreshed every day though, so feel free to buy them occasionally so you can stockpile.
Play Events

Events are another great source of not just Weapon Designs, but also other valuable items such as Rate Up Draw Tickets, Custom Draw Tickets, and Essence Stones.
Make sure you're always participating in these events, much like the Dungeon Exploration Event shown in the image above. Grind away until you get what you need!
You can easily keep yourself in the loop about ongoing and upcoming events by joining the Solo Leveling: Arise Official Discord Server and checking the Announcements channel. See you there!
Clear Battlefield of Trials

You can get Designs and Precision Designs by clearing floors in the Battlefield of Trials, as you can see in the image above.
Just make sure to optimize your Sung Jinwoo's stats, skills, artifacts, and weapons so you can climb to the highest floors for more rewards, and then do the same for your Hunters.
Remember, you can clear floors in the Battlefield of Trials either as Sung Jinwoo or your Hunters since they have two separate sets of floors to climb, which means you'll be able to earn lots of Weapon Designs here!
Claim Achievement Rewards

Finally, you can also get Weapon Designs simply by progressing in the game and claiming Achievement milestone rewards that accumulate over time—as seen in the image above.
The Achievement tasks that allow you to get Weapon Designs as rewards specifically are in the Growth (Advance Hunter Weapons X times) and Dungeon (Clear Dungeon Breaks X times) sections.
Conclusion
Now that you know how to get Weapon Designs from several sources in Solo Leveling: Arise, how about learning where to get Hunter Exclusive Weapon Designs next so you can craft SSR Weapons for your Hunters?
