North and South Quest take place while investigating the peculiar incidents in Northville and the appearance of the scarlet sorceress, it came to light that similar mysterious events are unfolding in Southville. Hogan tasks you with investigating these occurrences alongside Valen and your faithful familiars.
Step-by-Step North and South Guide
Talk to Rowan: You found Rowan looking troubled at the base of the drawbridge (365;126). Interact with him to discover that the bridge is up and someone deliberately sabotaged the mechanism.
Find a Club and Overripe Fruit: To fix the drawbridge temporarily, you will need a Gruglin's Club to replace the lever and an Overripe Fruit to get the gears lubricated and ready for use.
Fight the Hypofiend: The Fruit and Club is located within the Gurglin camp. To access them, you must defeat the Hypofiend (364;131) to unlock the next section of the map.
Battle Commence: Place your tank at the front and the support units at the backline to keep them from harm's way. If you encounter difficulty, level up your heroes and change their equipment for better performance.
Enter Ruin Cavern: Following the path to the overripe fruit, the route is completely blocked. The only way to reach your destination is by taking the underground passageway (364;159).
Solve the Puzzle: Make your way through the Ruin Cavern, collecting treasure and battling fiends. Up ahead, you will encounter a puzzle. Push the rounded boulder to the end of the platform.
Obtain Overripe Fruit: As soon as you exit the Ruin Cavern, you can find the overripe fruit. Collect it to complete one of the tasks.
Use the Explosives: After collecting the needed overripe fruit, activate the explosive barrel (379;153) by holding F on your keyboard or hold press on the cue icon. This will clear up the blockage.
Collect the Gruglin Club: Head to the Gurglin Camp (386;147) to collect the club. While en route, you may encounter multiple enemies, but they should pose little challenge and can be easily dealt with.
Repair the Drawbridge: With the Gruglin club and overripe Glowfly fruit, it should be enough to fix the drawbridge. Return to the drawbridge (364;127) to start the repairs.
The completion of the drawbridge repair concludes the Ryeham Tales, North and South Quest. You will receive 500 Diamonds and 20,000 for the questline. With the bridge functioning, you can proceed to Southville and continue investigating Lord Franz's schemes in AFK Journey.
How to Unlock
Following through the Story Quest and completing the Holistone Mystery Quest will unlock the North and South questlines. Approach Rowan at the drawbridge (364;127) and the quest event in AFK Journey will commence.
