Vineyard's Secret is the continuation of the Story Quest. On your way to Southville to proceed with your investigation, someone had deliberately sabotaged the drawbridge mechanism, preventing anyone from crossing. Thanks to your efforts, you and your friends repaired the drawbridge using a club and an overripe fruit gathered earlier, granting everyone access to Southville.
Step-by-Step Vineyard's Secret Guide
Defeat the Hypofiend: With the drawbridge fixed and accessible, you can cross and reach Southville, but first, you must win against a Level 28 Hypofiend to unlock the new section of the map.
Unlock New Area: If you're having trouble defeating the Hypofiend, increase your Resonance Level to 30+ and change your equipment to a higher level. Be sure to have a Tank at the front and support units at the back.
Talk to the Youth: With the new area unlocked, you can now access the Southville, but as soon as you enter the village, you feel magic in the air. Ask the Disturbed (374;107) Youth for information.
Talk to the Villager: Continue gathering information by interacting with the Villager (382;102). They seem anxious and angry while preparing the grape produce.
Listen to the Elder: Lastly, approach the anxious Elder (377;99) and listen to his story. You might find his information useful.
Find Valen: After exploring around Southville, you noticed some abnormalities with the grapes. Catch up with Valen (328;101) and exchange information with him. He's in the west, outside the village by a cave.
Enter the Cave: You find it strange that despite having bandits lurking outside the village, they keep it undisturbed. Many of Gurglin's camps have been cleared up, too. Enter the cave to uncover Lord Franz's secret.
Talk to Rowan: After leaving the cave with a newfound discovery, you will spot Rowan outside the cave waiting for you. Interact with him to exchange information.
Visit the Grape Fields: The strange behaviors, undisturbed village, a cave full of gold, and Gurglin masks all point to the grape fields. Find Lord Franz (362;101) and listen to him.
Save the Bunny-Eared: While eavesdropping on Rowan and Lord Franz's conversation with a simple mage, an Elite Gurglin chased someone. Combat auto-commences. Focus on the Elite to win the battle.
Speak to the Wilder: Having saved the Bunny-Eared, ask him why he was attacked.
Story Battle: Parched from being chased by the Gurglin, Lorsan ate some grapes that made him sick. You cornered Lord Franz for an answer, which prompted him to summon mercenaries to fight you.
Defeat the Enemies: This battle will have four waves, but it should be reasonably easy. Have your Tank take the front and supports at the back. Mages would be ideal for this setting.
Gather Herbs: After teleporting to safety. Cassadee's magic left everyone dizzy. Hammie says herbs make them feel better, so collect the vital herbs near your location.
Talk to Cassadee: With Herbs in tow, talk to Cassedee while Hammie distributes the potions made from the herbs you collected. You soon find out that Cassadee left for Northville alone.
When Rowan recognizes the mercenary Lord Franz hired, there's no doubt that he's the real culprit behind the village fire in Northville. This concludes the questline Vineyard's Secret in AFK Journey, rewarding you 500 Diamonds and 20,000 Gold.
How to Unlock
Vineyard's Secret becomes available while following through the Story Quest and after completing the North and South Questline. Once you have defeated the Level 28 Hypofiend (373;122), you will access Golden Wheathshire 2 to continue the story of Vineyard's Secret.
