While the Motorola Razr perhaps wasn't quite as well-received as the brand might have hoped, there is no denying the nostalgic charm of the modern take on the legendary Razr from yesteryear. There were bumps in the road, and also in the display apparently, but that didn't stop Motorola from saying that it was working on a follow-up device. in case you were wondering, September 9th is when Motorola is “getting ready to flip the smartphone experience once again.”

Motorola will hold a virtual event on September 9th, during which the handset maker could announce its next Razr handset which will likely feature 5G. If the rumors are correct, the new Razr device could sport the Snapdragon 765G processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage under the hood. There may be a 2,845mAh battery as well as a 48MP shooter and a 20MP selfie camera. All-in-all, if accurate, the rumored specs of this new Razr handset add up to a nice upgrade in comparison to its predecessor.

Having announced a date for the launch of the new device, you can bet that the serial leakers will be scouring their sources for useful little factoids in the meantime. What are you hoping to see from the next Motorola Razr?
