Samsung's Galaxy S10 could feature Reverse Wireless Charging 3

Remember when Huawei's Mate 20 Pro launched back in October sporting a differentiating feature that allowed you to use the phone to charge other handsets with wireless charging? Well, it appears that Samsung could be taking a leaf out of Huawei's playbook by including the feature in all three variants of its upcoming Galaxy S10.

According to Gizmodo, Samsung will call the reverse wireless charging feature ‘Powershare' which means that the Galaxy S10 will be able to charge other wireless capable handsets. The Galaxy S10 will hopefully be able to provide a provide a charge at a quicker rate than the Mate 20 Pro is capable of, which is so slow that it is pretty much just a fun gimmick.

For the moment, at least, there's no news on battery capacities for any of the Galaxy S10 variants, although Samsung has shown with the Galaxy Note 9 that it is once again confident of packing bigger batteries in its handsets.

Much like Huawei with the Mate 20 Pro, the rumors point to Samsung throwing the kitchen sink in with the Galaxy S10 regarding features, which will hopefully be more innovative than the excellent, if slightly staid, Galaxy S9 and S9+ that launched back in February during MWC 2018.
