Even as the majority of smartphones that you may see in consumers' hands tend to be black, white or silver with gold managing to hold a significant share of the market, companies continue to try to entice buyers with other colors. One of those is LG which has done a good job of coming up with some alternatives that actually look decent without crossing the line to being outlandish. Following up on some success they have had with color options for the LG V30, the company is adding three new colors to their LG G6 and LG Q6 devices.
For both devices, LG is adding options for Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet and Raspberry Rose. For both the LG G6 and LG Q6, these colors join existing options Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White, Terra Gold and Marine Blue for a total of eight color choices. According to Park Hee-wook, vice president and head of product planning for LG Electronics' Mobile Communications Company,
“LG is focusing on producing smartphones that are both high quality and emotionally expressive. We want customers to be able to express their distinct personalities through LG's unique and diverse range of color options.”
LG has not announced whether the new color options will bring any different price points with them. Initially the new colors will only be available in the Korean market starting in February 2018, but LG plans to roll them out to “key markets worldwide.”
