Samsung has a new feature that debuted on the Galaxy Note 3, and it's called Scrapbook. It's actually quite useful. It allows you to save content into “Scrapbooks.” This can be a screenshot from an app, a Web page, or a YouTube video. When you grab a Web page, the link is saved along with it for future reference. You can also categorize your scrapbook with different folders and add tags and/or Notes to each item you have clipped.

To add something to your Scrapbook, just open Air Command by hovering your S Pen over the display and pressing the button on the S Pen. Choose the second option, Scrapbooker. Then draw a circle around the contents you want to save. You will then be given the opportunity to add tags and/or a Note as well as choose the folder you would like to add it to. When you are all set, just tap on the checkmark at the top right to save it. There is also an option to add an item to your scrapbook bypassing Air Command. Just press and hold the S Pen button and draw a circle on the screen and select Scrapbook. For whatever reason, it doesn't grab as much information, but it will still capture the URL link. Lastly, you can sync Scrapbook to your Samsung account so it's accessible on other devices.

Hit the break for a video showing you how it all works. Also, be sure to check out our other Galaxy Note 3 guides.

    1. it should be in the scrapbook app. in your apps button. if it isn’t inside there, then I don’t know. . probably need to restart tablet or Uninstall and reinstall scrapbook app.

  1. Note 3 Running Kit Kat and everything shown here works EXCEPT, the URL Link. Mine doesn’t offer nor show the URL and the images captured do NOT link to the original web page. What am I missing? without that it seems less than useful.

    1. yeah this is happening with me also. I have to manually enter the Web a dress by going into the scrapbook app and clicking what I saved, then pasting the url into the text section, which only appears when you manually go into scrapbook or afor you already saved the selected object.

  2. When I use spen for scrapbook it does not allow me to circle just what I want inapic. Just the entire thing

  3. I just got my note for 2 weeks. Using scrapbook a lot but suddenly when I open the app it says unfortunately scrapbook has ended. I can save things but thats it. Tried it several times, restarted the phone 2 times, took the battery in and out. It just says the same … Does anyone know the problem?

  4. I don’t understand why the app doesn’t let us save a full webpage. Not sure if I’m doing anything wrong, but when I used the air-command, selected the scrapbook option and draw a circle on the whole screen, it only saves that portion as an image instead of a full webpage.

      1. yeah, but then you have a million bookmarks and they aren’t categorized and you can’t search for the one you want, so they get lost and become useless. also, they don’t have the nice functionality of adding notes that become visible when you hover over the image and other functions.

  5. Utterly useless crap. When there is a universal way to to take content out of the scrapbook into most applications like a clipboard I will pay attention.

    1. you’d do better using Evernote or Springpad for that (more flexibility). Scrapbook is a nice idea that’s not fully developed…

      1. What is wrong with you people? Who cares about Evernote? He says he likes this app. Deal with it.

Evernote also has a retarded sync limit just less you pay. This app has no such limits and integrates fabulously with S Finder where you can search by tags and everything.

Hardly under-developed. It’s really useful and a huge value for those who need this sort of functionality. If you’re a heavy user it will save you $60/year over Evernote.

If you need more long-form note taking, then one note is superior to evernote, anyways, if we’re playing title for tat.

        1. yeah, I agree. I use scrapbook for making medicinal herb notes, saving the websites as an image, then adding a heading of the herb name and adding a cool note with hand drawn symbols, so when I hover over that herb in scrapbook, it shows my hand drawn symbols so I know the general medicinal properties of that plant, which parts are edible, and what they are used for (which part of the body and such). then I can also tag my herb with the properties that they have (toothache, antidepressant, laxative, sedative, etc.). these are all extremely useful functions for easy categorizing and searching. I haven’t found great use for Evernote, I use s note instead.
