Both of these foldables aim to be full-on flagship replacements, but they take very different approaches. Oppo's newest foldable leans into battery, cameras, and multitasking muscle, while Samsung's offering sticks closer to its polished ecosystem and lighter design.
Design & build

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 225g | 215g |
| Thickness (folded) | 8.93mm | 8.9mm |
| Thickness (open) | 4.21mm | 4.2mm |
| Materials | Ceramic Guard (cover), UTG inner | UTG + Gorilla Glass |
| Build feel | Slightly heavier, more robust | Lighter, more refined |
The Find N6 is marginally heavier, but not dramatically so. In hand, both are ultra-thin when open, though Samsung still has the edge on weight.
Display

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Inner display | 8.12″ AMOLED | 8.0″ AMOLED 2X |
| Resolution | 2480×2248 | 2184×1968 |
| Cover display | 6.62″ | 6.5″ |
| Refresh rate | 1–120Hz adaptive | 120Hz |
| Brightness | 1800 nits (HBM) | Not specified |
| Colour depth | 10-bit (1.07B colours) | 8-bit (16M colours) |
The Find N6 quietly wins here on paper with higher resolution and 10-bit colour, which should translate to smoother gradients and richer visuals.
Performance & storage

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | Snapdragon flagship (Octa-core) |
| GPU | Adreno 840 | Adreno |
| RAM | 16GB LPDDR5X | 12GB |
| Storage | 512GB UFS 4.1 | 256GB |
The Find N6 leans harder into raw specs with more RAM and faster storage. In real-world use, that should mean smoother multitasking, especially on a foldable where multiple apps are the whole point.
Camera system

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 200MP (f/1.8, OIS) | 200MP (f/1.7, OIS) |
| Ultra-wide | 50MP | 12MP |
| Telephoto | 50MP (3x OIS) | 10MP (3x) |
| Extra | 2MP mono | — |
| Front cameras | 20MP (inner + cover) | 10MP (inner + cover) |
| Video | 4K 120fps | 8K 30fps |
This is where OPPO pulls ahead on versatility. Higher resolution across all lenses suggests more consistent results across zoom levels, even if Samsung still holds the 8K video headline.
Battery & charging

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | 6000mAh | 4400mAh |
| Wired charging | 80W | ~25W (typical Samsung range) |
| Wireless | 50W | Yes (slower) |
This is not close. The Find N6 is built like a battery tank compared to the Fold 7. For real-world use, that likely means a full extra day of endurance depending on usage.
Connectivity & extras

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi | Wi-Fi 7 | Wi-Fi 7 |
| Bluetooth | 6.0 | 5.4 |
| NFC | Yes | Yes |
| UWB | No | Yes |
| USB | USB 3.2 Gen 1 | USB 3.2 Gen 1 |
Samsung keeps an edge with UWB and tighter ecosystem integration, especially if you’re already in Galaxy territory.
Software

| Spec | OPPO Find N6 | Galaxy Z Fold 7 |
|---|---|---|
| OS | ColorOS 16 | Android (One UI) |
| Multitasking | Free-flow window system | Samsung DeX + split view |
Both are strong, but they take different approaches. OPPO focuses on fluid multitasking, while Samsung leans into desktop-style productivity with DeX. Oppo's ColorOS 16 has won favor among reviewers and users alike for its clean aesthetic, though. I would say Samsung edge this segment thanks to Dex and the close cooperation with Google on new features.
Verdict

On paper, Oppo's Find N6 is the more aggressive piece of hardware. A bigger battery, more RAM, a stronger camera, and a slightly more advanced display all push it ahead as a pure spec machine, not to mention its lower price. And personally, it's the phone I've used for a couple of months already and prefer.
That said, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 still holds ground with a lighter build, ecosystem features like DeX and UWB, and Samsung’s more mature foldable software experience.
If you want raw hardware, advanced cameras, and endurance, the Find N6 looks like the more complete package. If you care about ecosystem, polish, and long-term familiarity, the Fold 7 still makes a strong case.
This is essentially a battle between power and polish, and which one matters more depends on how you actually use a foldable.
A fly in the ointment
As ever, when it comes to the US and smartphones, Samsung has the upper hand thanks to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 actually being officially available to purchase. Unlike Oppo's Find N6, which must be purchased via a third-party channel. It's a crying shame for Americans looking to get their hands on the foldable with the biggest battery, least noticeable crease, and superior cameras, but it is what it is. Unfortunately.
Sadly, it's a similar story this time around in Europe, thanks to Oppo's decision not to bring the Find N6 to the region. I can promise you that this issue gets raised every time there is a briefing or contact with the brand, from most outlets, but as yet it's still under discussion.
