There was a time when we would've begged for a OnePlus tablet. Back when the company was still in a rebellious upstart, co-founder Carl Pei made it clear that was never going to happen and that they had little interest in building an Android tablet.

Now, the same brand has five powerful tablets on the market. They're planning to add a sixth in June this year.

Pad 4, is that you?

Known tech leaker, Yogesh Brar, leaked on X that OnePlus is testing a new tablet. The model reportedly has a 12-inch display, and will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. The battery is 12,000mAh.

Many hands are pointing to the upcoming tablet being the OnePlus Pad 4. Last year’s Pad 3 Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It uses 3rd-generation Oryon cores, while the 8 Elite uses second-generation Oryon cores.

The 8 Elite runs at higher clock speeds around 4.32 GHz versus roughly 3.8 GHz on the Gen 5, as confirmed by Geekbench tests. The 8 Elite also has a stronger GPU. In 3DMark tests, it's about 20–25% faster in graphics performance.

That aside, the Pad 3 has a 13.2-inch screen, while the leaked device uses a 12-inch display. So, there's roughly a 11.2-inch difference, which is really not that dramatic. You still have to carry around a large tablet.

Battery life likely won’t see any major improvement, given how the Pad 3 already packs a 12,140 mAh battery, and the leaked tablet is said to carry just above 12,000 mAh. Capacity is so close that the difference is negligible.

Tablet is unlikely a Go model, and Nord 6 will arrive before it

It’s unlikely that OnePlus’ new tablet is the Pad Go 3 since the current Pad Go 2 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, which is a mid-range processor designed for their more affordable devices. Plus, the timing fits the flagship Pad cycle, where Pad 3 launched in June 05 2025, and the brand appears to refresh its flagship tablet roughly once per year.

While we await the official reveal, the Nord 6, which is expected to replace the Nord 5 smartphone, has also been leaked. Yogesh Brar suggests the device may launch before the tablet around April.

It'll use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 that would offer 26% better multi-core CPU performance than the chip used in the Nord 5.

The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The Chinese model it’s based on, the Turbo 6, has a 9000mAh battery, but the global version might ship with a smaller battery due to regulations in some markets. On the bright side, charging will remain 80W wired and fast. The phone will also feature 50MP main camera and a 16MP front camera.

There’s no word yet on pricing for both devices. Speaking of, the company has increased prices in China. So, if you’re thinking of buying into the OnePlus ecosystem within that region, it's a little bit harder. March 16 was the set date.

OnePlus blames RAM and component costs as their major reasons, and while they say they have no immediate plans to raise prices in the US or other markets, they haven't exactly ruled out the possibility.
