Samsung just keeps continuing to show some love to owners of its devices. First the DROID Charge got a major update, now it's another phone set for an update. The Fascinate is finally set to taste some of that sweet, sweet Gingerbread 2.3 goodness. Verizon has just announced the i500.EH03 build which includes a host of updates and improvements in addition to Android 2.3. You'll find improved widgets and updated calendar options among the noteworthy features of the new build. The hefty 95.7MB file should be available anytime now for those of you still rocking the Fascinate, so be sure to check out the full change log at the source below and download the update. My wife just got the Gingerbread update which got me searching and brought me to this page. I laugh because you say “for those of you still rocking the Fascinate…” She got the phone the first month it was available and isn’t eligible for an upgrade until her 18th month next spring. I think for the majority of owners, we can only afford these phones with the two year contract and, unless the device was lost, stolen, broken or died, we’re still rocking the phone that we got with the contract. :) It is nice to see Samsung/Verizon still upgrading the OS.
Well, the first thing that I noticed on my Fascinate was that the signal has gotten a little better where I live at. I went from having 1 to 2 bars max to 3 to 5 bars so that alone for me was a good improvement for me. I also like that now I can see how much storage or memory an individual app is taking up on the phone being as the phone only has 2GB of internal storage and there are some apps that you cannot move to the SD card. So being as I was thinking that after the 2.2 Froyo update Verizon would be done with the Fascinate because there are newer model phones out I am happy to get the update. Now only if I could get my apps in alphabetical order without having to do it manually so that it would stay like that when I turn the phone off.lol
Go into settings and click on about phone then click on system updates then click on check for new updates.
I also need the update file, anyone?

Users of Samsung Fascinate will be truly fascinated by these news. Will an ICS update be expected to the phone?
I have been out of the country ever since this update posted, so I presume this is why I have not received any notification of availability….is this upgrade generally going smoothly….???
