It’s not every day you walk into a store to buy a phone and walk out with a whole second device for free. But that’s exactly what’s happening with Samsung UK’s latest Galaxy S25 series offer. They're currently running a promotional offer where anyone who buys a Galaxy S25 or foldable will receive the Galaxy Tab A9+ as part of the deal at no extra charge.
Ordinarily, it sounds like an easy thing to do. But considering the Galaxy S25’s premium price tag, you're not exactly going to walk out without dropping a serious chunk of cash. If you're interested, here's the full details.
Trust me, it's not as rosy as you think
It wasn’t long ago that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, a phone comparably thin to the iPhone 16 Plus, if not thinner. Mind you, the iPhone is among the slimmest on the market. Their latest promotional offer would've been your chance to try something outside what the company usually sells. Sadly, it's not included.

Instead, you can score a Galaxy Tab A9+ in the graphite color when you shop any of the following Galaxy products:
- Galaxy S25: starting from £799 (≈ $910).
- Galaxy 25+: starting from £999 (≈ $1,137).
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: starting from £1,249 (≈ $1,422).
- Galaxy Z Fold 6: starting from £1,799 (≈ $2,048).
- Galaxy Z Flip 6: starting from £1,049 (≈ $1,194).

The Tab A9+ is worth £259 (≈ $295), and it launched in October 2023. It may not be a desirable flagship, but you're getting it free, so that's not nothing. It comes with an 11-inch TFT LCD display with 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution.
It also has a 90Hz refresh rate, and a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on the variant. Storage options range from 64GB to 256GB, with a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion.
Android 13 is its default software and it's upgradable to Android 14 with One UI 6.1. It has a 7,040mAh battery and supports 15W wired charging. The cameras are an 8MP camera on the rear side with a 5MP front camera.

No, you can't make away with 50 tablets
You have between now and June 26 to purchase the qualifying Galaxy phones from an approved retail partner. Afterward, you’ll submit your claim within 30 days of that purchase date to receive your free Tab A9+. Samsung will reach out to you within five days and deliver your tablet to the address you stated on the claim form.
The company doesn’t want to make the free tablet feel too easy to snag, so they’ve added a few guardrails to keep the promotion under control. For starters, you can’t buy five phones and walk away with five tablets.
Claims are limited to one per person, which means if you personally buy one phone for yourself and another as a gift, you can only claim one free tablet in your name. Even if you bought three phones, only your first claim would be accepted.

Samsung has also capped claims at four per household. For example, you live with your family, and everyone in the house decides to upgrade to the S25. If five people in the same home each submit a claim, the fifth one will be rejected, even if all purchases were made separately. The system is designed to stop people from mass claiming through one address. For businesses, the limit is ten claims to prevent them from buying phones in bulk and walking away with a stockpile of free tablets.
There's also the issue of qualifying retailers where Samsung has blocked any attempts to save money through Amazon Marketplace, or even a European Amazon branch like Amazon Germany or France. Your claim won’t be eligible if you buy the S25 phones from them, even if the phone itself is brand-new. Discount outlets and gray market sellers are also excluded.
