It's not long since Oppo wowed us with its new Find N2 Flip which packs in a larger and more useful cover screen than Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 4 and now we have news that Motorola is going even bigger. As revealed by leaker of note, Evan Blass, the Motorola Razr 2023 sports a display that covers most of the outer panel.
Besides posting renders of the Motorola Razr 2023, Blass also revealed that the clamshell will be announced on June 1st, which may explain why it has the codename “Juno”. This means that Motorola is getting the launch in before Samsung's traditional August timeline where we expect the fifth generation of its Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold to be unveiled.
The Razr 2023's cover display also houses a pair of rear cameras and a flash module, with no strip or housing in sight. It's UI also seems to have been rejigged in response to the panel's larger size, which will hopefully make the cover display as useful as the internal screen.
June 1st isn't too far away, and it will be interesting to see whether Motorola went with Qualcomm or MediaTek for the clamshell's processor.
