Unless you live in China, getting your hands on a foldable phone that isn't produced by Samsung isn't easy but in Europe at least, there is a competitor on the horizon in the form of Honor's Magic Vs which will be announced at MWC in Barcelona next month. Having launched in China in November 2022, the Magic Vs foldable will compete against Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 4, finally offering consumers an alternative.
Packing in a 6.45-inch OLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Magic Vs also boasts a 7.9-inch internal display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset provides the grunt, and you'll also find a big 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast-charging, and a trio of rear cameras consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens.
The announcement will also see the new Magic 5 series of handsets unveiled with a likely follow-up to the excellent Magic 4 Pro included (we hope). Little is known about the Magic 5 series so far but we'll no doubt see some leaks appearing before the announcement.
When is the launch date?
Honor is holding an event at MWC in Barcelona which starts at 1:30 PM CET on February 27.
