For those who aren't keen on signing up for Nothing's Phone 1 beta program there is some good news on the horizon with Carl Pei conforming that its successor will launch in the US towards the end of 2023. The Phone (2) as it will be called will offer a “more premium” experience than the Phone (1) which was targeted towards the affordable smartphone segment.
In an interview with Inverse, Nothing's co-founder and CEO Carl Pei says that releasing a phone in the US market is the company's top priority for 2023. Other than saying it will be a “more premium” handset, Pei declined to give further details other than saying that for Nothing, the “Phone 1 was a flagship”.
It's worth noting that Nothing achieved almost 10x the revenue in 2022 than it did during 2021 – over $200 million as opposed to the $24 million earned in its first year of existence. Impressively, the brand has shipped more than a million units already.
“We couldn't do it earlier because we were only in our second year and our hands were tied building the team as we were building the products. Now as we're on a more solid footing, we can take a step forward.”

Besides working on the Phone (2), Nothing is hoping to add further retail stores in more locations, building upon its store in London. While the Phone (2) is said to launch much later in 2023, one can assume that Nothing will build upon its range of audio products in the meantime.
