We've reported on the touchscreen issues that Galaxy S20 FE owners are experiencing with the displays on their new handsets which Samsung is fully aware of. So much so, that the Korean smartphone company issued yet another software update to fix the issues on the Galaxy S20 FE which seems to have yet again resulted in partial failure. The attempted fix came bundled in with the November Security Patch that is rolling out currently.
According to SamMobile, the third OTA has build number G781BXXU1ATK1 and although the touch screen issues such as the zoom-induced stuttering are reportedly almost resolved, there is still work to be done on the other problems that include ghost touches and jittery UI animations.
As much as the Galaxy S20 FE is an attractive proposition inside and out, and not forgetting its affordable price, these touchscreen issues are threatening to blight its appeal. It's almost certain that Samsung will roll out a fourth update in an attempt to fix the touchscreen problems, but will Galaxy S20 FE owners have enough patience to stick around in the meantime?
If you own a Galaxy S20 FE which exhibits these touchscreen foibles, are you patient enough to wait in the hopes that Samsung finally manages to rectify the problems? Or are you going to return the handset and switch to a different phone? Perhaps if the phone giant isn't able to get to the bottom of the matter with a fourth attempt, it should consider offering replacements to those with affected units.
