Samsung is preparing the Samsung Galaxy S26 Fan Edition for an early September 2026 launch, and a leaked spec sheet has surfaced. German tech outlet WinFuture revealed that the not-so-budget model comes in three colors, including Graphite, Pistachio, and Blueberry.
It has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display running at 2340×1080, up to 120Hz refresh, and brightness reaching 1,200 nits typical, 1,900 nits in high-brightness mode. There's more.
It's almost as expensive as the S26 Plus
Samsung is retaining its own Exynos 2500 chip for the Galaxy S26 FE, and it was used in last year's Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. The smartphone maker built it on its most advanced 3-nanometer process, and it uses a 10-core CPU arrangement. You could say it's the only major improvement on the phone, besides a slight 2-gram increase in weight.
It has one high-performance Arm Cortex-X925 core, seven mid-tier cores split across high-frequency and low-frequency clusters, and two efficiency cores, giving it a 15% performance boost over its predecessor on demanding tasks.
The chip also uses a custom Xclipse 950 GPU built with AMD using RDNA 3 architecture, upgraded significantly over the previous generation, with ray-tracing performance up 28% in frames per second.
The FE phone pairs it with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3x optical zoom camera at 8 megapixels. The front camera is 12 megapixels without autofocus. Video recording caps at 8K/30fps, with 4K resolution available up to 60fps.
Connectivity covers Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and dual nano-SIM with eSIM support. It also has IP68 water and dust resistance, indicating that it's fully dust-tight and can survive being submerged in water beyond 1 meter, with the exact depth and duration typically specified by the manufacturer.
The phone has a 4,900 mAh battery, believed to be silicon-carbon, supports 45W fast charging, and is rated for 1,200 charge cycles with up to 50 hours of typical use. It weighs 193 grams, measures 7.4 millimeters thick, and runs Android 17 with One UI.
More leaks point to a €799 (≈$922) recommended retail price, which puts it close to the Galaxy S26's launch price of €1,000 (≈$1,154) , which is only about €200 (≈$231) apart.
Certifications are already popping up
Besides the chip, last year's S25 FE and the S26 FE are design twins. The only difference is that the S25 FE has no visible black bezel or plate area surrounding the three lenses as a group. However, the S26 FE's lenses have a pronounced outline that makes them a visible island.
The S26 FE reportedly appeared in Google's Play Console Supported Devices list under the codename “r14s.” There were five regional model numbers in a new listing as follows:
- SM-S741B: International / Global
- SM-S741N: South Korean
- SM-S741U: US carrier
- SM-S741U1: US unlocked
- SM-S741W: Canadian variant
Signs of a release point to a launch in India around September, with an expected starting price of roughly ₹65,990 (≈$692).
While the Samsung Galaxy A07s and Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ also appeared alongside the S26 FE on the Play Console Supported Devices list, only the Tab S12+ was rumored to surface through the Bureau of Indian Standards' database, with SM-X840 confirming the Wi-Fi variant and SM-X846B confirming the 5G version.
However, there is a confirmed certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) showing five S26 FE models, along with three models of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra expected in cellular and non-cellular variants.
