Okay, sure, it's a little late in the year to talk about October security patches, but OnePlus is still trying to keep its older OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T phones updated with monthly security patches. The latest comes in the form of a brand new OxygenOS open beta, which includes a new build of OnePlus's own software on top of Android, plus last month's security bulletin.
Better late than never?
OnePlus 7 update
These builds are rolling out for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series with a relatively short changelog. You're looking at “improved system stability” alongside the October security fixes from Google, and a fix for the occasional camera bug when switching to your front camera. That's pretty much it.
This is available for all four phones in this lineup, including the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, plus the slightly newer OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. It's unfortunate that this seems to be rolling out in the first week of November and probably doesn't bode well for a timely update at the end of this month, but at least OnePlus is still pushing these updates, even if they're falling behind some other OEMs.
