Google Pay is officially compatible with 89 more banks in the US from the last month and a half of updates, keeping up the trend of filling out its support for tons of financial institutions across the country.
This brings the total amount of institutions supported to nearly 3000 for the Google Pay service, making it one of the most broadly supported mobile payment services around.
Google Pay expansion
Obviously at this point Google Pay works with most big cards and banks. If you only bank with companies like Wells Fargo, Capital One, or anything else that's popular, you were set. Updates like this are really aimed at the smaller institutions, especially local credit unions and small local banks.
Just because you're not banking with a billion dollar company doesn't mean that you can't get in on the fun, too.
Android Police has compiled a list of the newly added banks at the link below, if you'd like to check and see if your bank has been added. There's a pretty solid mix of new institutions across tons of states in the US, so there's a chance you might have more options.
