It's a couple of months since Google rolled out the first Pixel Feature Drop, and it seems that the search giant is preparing to release a second batch of improvements in the next week or so, according to the folks over at 9to5Google. As you might expect, this second Pixel Feature Drop will bring a number of new features including scheduling for dark mode, a new “Card and Passes” power key menu. We've got the details for you after the break.
The Pixel Feature Drops roll out independently to the monthly security patches, bring new features to old and new Pixels. Some of the features have been spotted in the recently released Android 11 Developer Preview, but are now included in the second Pixel Feature Drop.
Features:
- Dark Mode Scheduling
- Play/Pause Motion Sense Gesture
- Cards & Passes Power Menu Key
- Car Crash Detection for older Pixels
There are likely to be a bunch more features included in the Pixel Feature Drop, as we found with the December edition that included a host of hidden additions that weren't mentioned in the release. We'll let you know when the second Pixel Feature Drop begins rolling out, until then its just a case of waiting.
