OnePlus isn't holding anything back from the OnePlus 7 Pro this year. We already know it'll be nicking some high-end features from the competition, like curved displays, 5G, and super fast storage, but the display looks to be one area where OnePlus wants to be better, not just match the other guys.
While it's already been rated as one of the best displays ever, the OnePlus 7 Pro will also reportedly be HDR10+ certified. There are very few HDR10+ devices on the market, but those that do have this certification can stream content from anywhere that supports the improved HDR standard.
HDR10+ differs from standard HDR in that adjustments to the picture can be made on a frame-by-frame basis, and HDR10+ produces 4000 nits of brightness instead of just 1000 from regular HDR.
So if you're looking forward to the media experience on the OnePlus 7, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Just, please, OnePlus, fix your speakers this time.
