The Moto Z3 Play is officially out, so the next device on Motorola's roadmap that we're looking for is the regular, flagship Moto Z3. While the original was exclusive to Verizon, the second generation picked up steam on a few other carriers. Now it looks like we're taking a step back to just Verizon exclusivity again, with a twist.
The new device is rumored to be announced on August 2nd, which is just a few days away. But besides the device, there will supposedly be a 5G capable Moto Mod announced with it, which would mark the first 5G device on Verizon's network. Sure, there are barely any markets where that's supported anyway, but this is the start of the snowball.
Outside of 5G, don't expect any specs to particularly stand out. It'll be top tier, but the Snapdragon 845, tons of RAM and internal storage, and a good dual-camera aren't groundbreaking anymore. Fingers crossed the new network can breathe some life into Motorola's lineup.
