Today is apparently World Emoji Day, and since that's a thing, we're going to talk about how Google is celebrating this new day by bringing back its old-school blob emojis.
Now don't get your hopes up about them being revived as the default emoji in Android anymore. Those days are gone, and Google isn't backtracking that much. But what they are doing is releasing a sticker pack so you can keep using the weird, incredibly deformed and sometimes inaccurate blobs in Android Messages and with Gboard. Some of them are even animated this time around.
Fear the blob.
So if you're really itching for a taste of old-school Android, Google is preserving that part of its history.
