Galaxy Note 8 is getting its Android 8.0 Oreo update on Verizon and Sprint 2

Good news, Galaxy Note 8 owners. You might be getting an OTA update soon, at least if you're on Verizon or Sprint. Both carriers are currently rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update to Samsung's late-2017 flagship, bringing a ton of new features and a more advanced OS to your device, catching both of those carriers up to AT&T, who pushed the update out early last week.

This update brings native picture-in-picture mode, better notifications, an autofill system for password managers, plus some of the new stuff that Samsung brought to the Galaxy S8.

Surprisingly, this just leaves T-Mobile's carrier version as the last Galaxy Note 8 to be updated, although Samsung also hasn't finished up getting the new software out to the unlocked US versions, either. Hopefully both of those follow shortly in the next few weeks.
