T-Mobile made a major announcement on June 23, 2025, declaring itself the best Mobile Network in America. As of today, the mobile carrier officially ranked in the USA, surpassing AT&T and Verizon.
They've also unveiled T-Satellite, a satellite-to-mobile service launching nationwide on July 23, using Elon Musk’s Starlink technology. It covers remote areas unreachable by regular towers and will support texting (SMS/MMS), picture messages, and short audio clips. Data support will come on October 1 this year. Here's more information on the development.
Join the party as T-Mobile celebrates big win
T-Mobile recently held a live event in Bellevue, Washington to announce a historic milestone. It is now officially the Best Mobile Network in America, based on one of the largest American network tests conducted by Ookla.
Ookla is a respected name in network speed and performance analytics. The announcement also included the upcoming launch of T-Satellite, new perks from DoorDash, and an Easy Upgrade path for customers switching from other carriers.
In particular, T-Satellite connects your phone directly to Starlink satellites in space, so you can send messages even when you're far from cell towers. That includes places where Verizon and AT&T can't reach. You don’t need to buy a new phone or additional accessories. If your device was made in the last four years, it’ll work.

The service is free for anyone on T-Mobile’s Experience Beyond plan. Even if you're not on that plan or if you're with Verizon or AT&T, you can still use it for $10 a month. It will also include satellite 911 texting, and later in the year, this emergency feature will be made available to everyone with a compatible phone, even if you don’t subscribe.
Mike Sievert, T-Mobile’s CEO, opened the event and reflected on the company’s 12-year journey toward this achievement. He also emphasized the company's vision to enable new possibilities through its network.

To commemorate the achievement, they're giving customers free access to DashPass, DoorDash’s subscription service, starting July 8. DashPass normally costs about $120 per year and gives members $0 delivery fees.
It also offers lower service fees and exclusive deals on orders from participating restaurants and stores. This offer will be available to claim through T-Mobile Tuesdays in the T-Life app until August 4. However, you'll want to be careful with your time on the app, given the shady new screen-recording feature.

Easy Upgrade and premium 5G on Metro await you
T-Mobile is doubling down on their latest win and using it as a powerful magnet to draw even more people in. Now that it's sitting at the top, it's making bold moves to make sure the crown doesn’t slip. One of those moves is the introduction of Easy Upgrade, a calculated play to lure frustrated Verizon and AT&T customers.
It's a full-on invitation to jump ship from your previous carrier with zero regrets. They're offering to pay off up to $800 of what you owe on your current phone and throw in a new Pro model iPhone for free with no trade-in required. If you’re bringing the whole family, they’ll cover four phone payoffs and hand you four iPhone 16s all for $100 per month.

Metro by T-Mobile customers also get perks June 26 will bring continuous and premium unlimited 5G data. Before, if you were on $50 and $60 Metro plans, you'll get 35GB of the high-speed data. Now, the $50 plan will fetch you 50GB, and the $60 plan will give you 70GB. It really is a good day to be a T-Mobile customer.
