If you know me, then you'll know that I love flagship smartphone release season. There's so much going on and so many OEMs showing off the latest of their technology. Right now, we're about to head into foldable release season, with multiple foldables expected to launch within the next three weeks.
For most people around the world, Samsung's Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 launch will be the most important of the bunch, and that's set for July 9th. On that date, the South Korean electronics giant will also show off its new wearables. However, before Samsung unpacks those devices, we'll unpack them for you a little early, with these new renders.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Is the Best-Looking Clamshell Foldable Yet

Unlike with book-style foldables, Chinese manufacturers don't have as large a chokehold on clamshell foldables. In that segment of the market, I rightfully think people should pay attention to Motorola the most, followed by Samsung. The Z Flip from last year wasn't that great next to the Razr, but this year, that might not be the case anymore.
While the spec sheet of Samsung's upcoming clamshell isn't official yet, its design has been leaked, and today, thanks to Evan Blass, it has been leaked even further.
I'm not afraid to say it, but Samsung's Z Flip 7 will be the best-looking clamshell foldable on the market. You get what seems to be a very thin build when unfolded, a flat frame, and a very simple design. The full-screen cover display is what levels this device up considerably compared to its predecessor. Plus, it'll be coming in three colorways:
- Jet Black
- Blue Shadow
- Coral Red
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Is Real and Will Stick to the Old Design

For those who might not want to pay the flagship fees required for the Z Flip 7 and its Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, there will be an option for those who want the fashionable phone but don't need the full extent of the regular model's performance.
That's the Z Flip 7 FE, and again, thanks to Evan Blass, we've gotten a chance to see what the device is going to look like, in both a black and a white colorway. If you expect a design that's new, you'll be disappointed, though.

The device is thicker than the regular Z Flip 7, seems to have thicker bezels around the inner screen, and retains the old folder-style cover display. If you liked the Z Flip lineup before this year, then you likely won't care too much, especially with a lower price tag.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Family Commits to the Squircle

If you're not looking for a new phone, you might be looking for a new smartwatch, and if that's the case, then Samsung will have a bunch of new options for you in a few weeks. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 family will also arrive on July 9th, with a vanilla, Classic, and a 2025 Ultra model showing up.
The notable thing is that Samsung will abandon the circular case design and adopt the squircle that last year's Ultra brought, but across the entire lineup this time.
Evan Blass gives us a good look at all three devices, which we've seen before, but not from as many angles as now. There will be some differences between the devices, at least in their physical buttons.
| Watch 8 | Watch 8 Classic | Watch Ultra (2025) | |
| Number of Buttons | 2 | 3 | 3 |
| Quick Button | No | Yes | Yes |
| Rotating Bezel | No | Yes | No |
