Usually a bad day doesn't end with a car driving into a store, but that's seriously what happened in Palm Springs last week. It's all because a Florida woman didn't get what she wanted from T-Mobile.
Shinobia Montoria Wright, a T-Mobile customer, drove her car through the floor-to-ceiling windows of a store in Palm Springs after employees still made her pay for a replacement phone despite paying for insurance every month. It started with smashing glass displays and hitting an employee who was keeping her from the storage area. Then it escalated to a Grand Theft Auto-style action.
Here's the video:

Oops? Nope. She meant to do that.
A couple of injuries are reported between the woman and T-Mobile employees, but none of them are in life-threatening condition. The injuries were caused by glass shattering and flying everywhere as well as displays knocking into people in the store. The T-Mobile store is believed to have suffered more than $30,000 in damage.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol had any influence on Wright's behavior. This appears to be merely an act of frustration, albeit a very serious one.
Charges made on Wright include aggravated battery, battery, burglary, criminal mischief, and reckless driving. Her first court appearance was missed because of injuries from the mayhem.

@marceloclaure many lives were endangered & it was a criminal act. It's actually not funny.

What did T-Mobile have to say? We couldn't find any company statement, but CEO John Legere did respond to Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure's laughter on this situation. Claure retweeted comedian Chelsea Handler's tweet saying the woman drove into the T-Mobile store to get service, and Legere took the mature route by saying a criminal act had happened and people were harmed.
Just another day in Florida, folks.

What a psycho. All this over a trivial thing, imagine how batshit crazy she’d get over something serious…
