ZTE is bringing the latest version of their Blade series of phones to the U.S. market and it should prove to be a capable mid-tier device. The ZTE Blade V8 Pro will hit the market priced at a mere $230 suggested retail price. Although some of the internal specs may not turn on power users, ZTE did pack in an impressive set of features and hardware, especially in the camera department.

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro will come equipped with a dual lens system intended to help users achieve that bokeh effect that is becoming so popular. This is done via a pair of 13MP cameras, one color and one black and white. To help keep things interesting, ZTE makes it possible for users to view a live preview of the black and white camera's image. The device also gets an 8MP front-facing camera for those selfie shots.

Inside the ZTE Blade V8 Pro comes equipped with a Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which can be expanded via microSD. This hardware drives a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by a 3140 mAh battery that ZTE expects will provide users with around 1.5 to 2.5 days of use. ZTE also provides a fingerprint sensor in the home button and enabled the ability to specify different apps to launch directly based on what finger is used. From a design standpoint, ZTE decided to use a rubber like substance for the back cover to enhance grip on the device.

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro joins other devices like the Honor 6X and the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom in targeting the mid-tier market with average internal hardware, but an increasingly full set of other features. These devices may not blow away anyone in terms of pure performance, but for budget-conscious buyers they may represent a good option to get a fully featured phone.
