People like to take pictures and record videos with their phones. Batteries, however, aren't very kind to these two activities. It's taxing on phone batteries because camera modules are complex and require heavy lifting to put together crisp, rich photos and videos.
Leave it to ASUS to make a phone that doesn't let your camera ruin battery life. The ZenFone 3 Zoom features multiple cameras and a massive battery to keep your longer sessions going as long as you want.

Before we get into what's going to sell the phone, let's list everything else about ZenFone 3 Zoom's specifications.
The ZenFone 3 Zoom features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of internal storage (with a microSD card slot), two 12MP cameras, a 5000mAh battery, a USB-C port, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ASUS ZenUI 3.0. ASUS will send Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest version of the operating system, to the phone at a not-too-far-off date.
It doesn't look like ASUS went light in any area, and the specifications are on a level where you shouldn't expect to be pay more than, say, $400 for this phone. All things considered, ASUS may have one of the year's best unlocked phones and 2017 just began. Maybe the ZenFone 3 Zoom will be 2017's version of the Honor 5X or Honor 8, stealing thunder from the major flagships.

Following the trend from 2016, ASUS implemented a dual-camera setup. The ZenFone 3 Zoom has two 12MP cameras, each with its own twist. One has a 25mm wide-angle lens while the other has a 56mm lens with 2.3x optical zoom. Both are Sony IMX362 sensors to manage low light situations with ease, too.
Everything the camera will do, however, might not be accessible until Nougat reaches the phone. A full-blown manual mode, RAW support, and 4K video recording are all on ASUS' list of camera features.
Despite being a power-hungry machine, the ZenFone 3 Zoom's battery isn't going to be depleted easily. A 5000mAh battery was squeezed into the aluminum body, and it's capable of lasting up to 42 days on standby. But, because you're not just leaving it on standby for long periods of time, ASUS has better estimations to give you confidence in its battery life. The ZenFone 3 Zoom can last up to 48 hours on 3G talk time, up to 25 hours on WiFi web browsing, and up to 6.4 hours on 4K video recording. And, if you have any juice left, you can actually use this phone as a power bank to charge other devices.

There isn't pricing set in place yet for any of the internal storage options, but ASUS says you'll be able to buy the ZenFone 3 Zoom in February. It'll be offered in Navy Black, Glacier Silver, and Rose Gold.
When it is released, Amazon is expected to be the ASUS' primary retailer for the ZenFone 3 Zoom. ASUS typically takes unconventional routes to sell its phones.
