
Samsung firmly believes in the future of virtual reality, which really shouldn't surprise anyone if you've seen how hard they've pushed the Gear VR this holiday season. Of course, Samsung isn't the only company pushing VR headsets, they just happen to be one of the biggest names in the market.
That industry-leading push has paid off for them, too. At CES today Samsung's own Tim Baxter confirmed that they've shipped 5 million Gear VR headsets so far and customers have viewed over 10 million hours of video in those headsets. For a brand new segment of devices, that's impressive.

There's still plenty of time for virtual reality to flop out or become the next big thing, but things are looking bright so far.
