If you own a first-generation Moto G, it appears that Motorola is sending messages to begin readying your device to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the ‘upcoming weeks'. If you've received this message, it's important to click the ‘More Info' tab at the bottom, as explained after the break.

Motorola is asking recipients of the Future Updates message to select the ‘More Info' tab so that they can check if their device has the latest version of Motorola Update Services installed via the Google Play Store. If not, just click update and let the install process finish. If you don't update the services app, the message states that ‘You will not receive the lollipop upgrade if this step is incomplete.'

Now that you've updated the Motorola Update Services on your Moto G, it's just a matter of waiting for the Lollipop update to arrive. As the message states though, this should be in the upcoming weeks so there isn't long to go.
