Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S last summer, which was only 6.6 mm thick. A follow up will come at some point this year, and the word is it will be thinner than the iPad Air 2, which is only 6.1 mm thick.
The Tab S 2 will also sport a metal frame, which isn't a surprise based on what we have been seeing from the Korean powerhouse.
Just like last year, Samsung will offer two different sizes, but it appears they will go with the 4:3 display ratio. Last year they offered both 8.4 and 10.5-inches, but this year's dimensions will come in at 8.0 and 9.7-inches.
What do you think about the Tab S 2? I am not in love with the 4:3 ratio. Why bother?

4:3 is better for damned near everything. Good move!
I currently have the 8.4 Tab S and like it. Battery life is not great and I can only imagine that a thinner device will be worse. I also don’t care for the 4:3 aspect ratio since I use it frequently for movies while traveling. Finally… as long as there is a physical home button, I won’t be buying any more Samsung devices.
