Samsung has just confirmed that the curved variant of its flagship phablet of 2014, the Galaxy Note Edge, is en route to India. The handset will be available to purchase from the manufacturer's online portal in the first week of January in either black or white for a staggering 64,900 INR ($1023).

The Note Edge is a pretty impressive high-end smartphone, packing a 5.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, an Exynos octa-core SoC, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel shooter, 32GB of internal storage and a 3,000mAh Li-Ion battery.

Straight out of the box, the device will run the latest build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface plastered over the top. The handset is, however, expected to receive the much-anticipated Lollipop update when it’s finally distributed by the South Korean company during Q1 of 2015.

Do you live in the India? If so, will you be picking up a Note Edge? Be sure to let us know in the comments section down below.
